WEL Score: Instruction
What goes up must go down and descending properly is a very important and sometimes overlooked aspect in cycling. This video teaches you how to pick proper lines and how to set up for a corner. A great way to learn to descend is to follow a rider that is a better descender than yourself and follow the lines that they take. An experienced rider always has the outside pedal down through a corner and he/she will keep a very balanced position on the bicycle. Never go in over your head on a descent since it can easily lead to a mistake that can cause a serious crash. A bicycle ride or race is rarely won on a descent but it can be lost on a descent so learning proper technique is very valuable for all cyclists at every ability level. Please be safe!!
